URGENT: Send letters to release Christians from prison

If you’ve been reading our recent updates, you know that we have 4 leaders in Mauritania who are prison for their faith in Christ.

First some great news! Last night at midnight, two of the men were released! Praise God!!

Now two more remain. They have been in prison since February 14, 2020.

The lawyer who was hired to defend them has been found to be a cheat. He took the money, but did not do his part. He is also a Muslim and is against these men because they have converted from Christianity.

We also found that the leaders have been beaten quite severely.

So now…we need your help! It’s time for us to be their lawyer and speak for them.

We need to put pressure on the government officials in Mauritania to have them released. We need your help to make the story of these leaders known! Tell your friends, post on social media, and spread the word.

We need to flood the prison in Mauritania with mail to let them know that the USA is watching. Please get your envelopes and stamps ready!

If you have contact with any newspapers, journalists, US officials, please share!

The goal is to spread the news as far and wide as possible. This is the best way to save their lives.

Pray, Pray, Pray!

Instructions on how to write the letter and what to send:
Simply write on a blank piece of paper. You have three options:

  1. “I know that you are in prison and I am praying for you.”
  2. Write a Bible Verse
  3. Nothing – just send an empty envelope.

Mail to:
(You do not have to put your return address on the envelope, just that fact that the postmark is USA is enough)

Some prisoners released! Four still need prayer in Mauritania

We have an update for you on the news from Mauritania.

The six converted believers who were arrested and being held as “witnesses” against the original four have released! Praise the Lord!

One of the four was released and sent home. But almost immediately upon arriving home, the authorities came back and took him back to prison.

So as of now, we still have 4 leaders in prison in Mauritania.

Please continue to pray for this situation. Pray for wisdom for these Christians, for their families and for the authorities involved to show mercy. Pray that they will stand firm in their faith and that others will be led to Jesus as a result.

Update from Mauritania

We have an update for you on the news from Mauritania.

The four leaders were taken before the judge early this morning (midnight our time) but all of the paperwork needed for the case was not available. So the judge is holding them until another trial can be scheduled.

In the meantime…

Yesterday, six more converted believers (Muslim background believers) were arrested. They are being asked (commanded) to be witnesses against the original four.

Here’s the background on this story:
A missionary pastor from Germany hosted a Christian teaching conference at a hotel in Mauritania. When the conference was over and the pastor left to go back home, the authorities raided the hotel and arrested those who had been present. They are all being held on charges for leaving Islam.

Please continue to pray for this situation. Pray for wisdom for these Christians, for their families and for the authorities involved to show mercy. Pray that they will stand firm in their faith and that others will be led to Jesus as a result.

Mauritania Leaders arrested. Trial set for midnight tonight

We have an urgent matter of prayer in the Middle East.

Four of our leaders in Mauritania were arrested this morning for converting from Islam to Christianity.

Their trial is set for midnight tonight (EST). This is tomorrow morning for them.

If they are convicted and found guilty, they will be sentenced to death. Please, please pray for the judge to show them mercy!

Please pray for God to give them mercy and boldness. Pray for their families.
